Active AEC-Q200 shielded inductor for DC-DC output filters
The Murata LQH3NPZ470MGRL is an active-production drum-core wirewound inductor in the LQH3 series, rated for 47 µH ±20% at 1 MHz test frequency. The 270 mA continuous current rating and 260 mA saturation current (Isat) define the usable load range — stay below Isat to avoid the steep inductance roll-off past that point. It is suited for DC-DC converter output filters, EMI suppression, and power-line filtering in engine control units, body electronics, and infotainment systems where the ambient temperature stays within -40°C to 105°C.
47 µH, 270 mA — the parametric fit for a switching regulator
The self-resonant frequency of 5 MHz means the inductor maintains its inductive impedance up to roughly 2-3 MHz; above that the parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance drops. Shielded construction (ferrite core with magnetic shield) reduces radiated EMI compared to an unshielded drum core. In a buck converter switching at 500 kHz to 2 MHz, the shield keeps the fringe field from coupling into the feedback trace or the output capacitor loop — layout-sensitive designs benefit from this.
Surface-mount footprint and tape-and-reel supply
The inductor is supplied in tape-and-reel packaging (standard 7-inch or 13-inch reels) for automated pick-and-place assembly; cut-tape options are available for prototyping.
