6.8 µH shielded power inductor for DC-DC filters
The Murata LQH3NPN6R8MMEL is a 6.8 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH3 series, rated for 900 mA continuous current with a saturation current of 1.04 A. Its 168 mΩ maximum DCR keeps conduction losses manageable in a 3.00 mm × 3.00 mm 1212 footprint, making it a fit for point-of-load filters on compact power rails.
Parametric limits for filter design
The self-resonant frequency of 30 MHz defines the upper boundary for effective filtering — above that the inductor behaves capacitively, so the switching frequency of the downstream converter should stay well below this point. A ferrite core and full magnetic shielding reduce radiated EMI, which is relevant when the inductor sits near sensitive analog or RF stages on the same board.
