Shielded 6.8 µH wirewound for DC-DC filtering
The Murata LQH3NPN6R8MJRL is a shielded drum-core wirewound inductor in the LQH3 series, delivering 6.8 µH ±20% in a compact 1212 (3030 Metric) surface-mount package. Rated for 610 mA continuous current with a 216 mOhm max DCR, it handles the ripple current in a buck converter's output filter without saturating — the saturation current floor is 970 mA, giving headroom for transient spikes. The self-resonant frequency of 35 MHz keeps the inductive impedance dominant well above the switching frequencies of typical 1–2 MHz DC-DC converters, so the inductor behaves as a pure filter element rather than a parasitic capacitor in the passband.
Board-fit and thermal envelope
The 3.00 mm × 3.00 mm footprint with a 1.20 mm seated height fits tight power-stage layouts where height is constrained — common in portable electronics, module supplies, and IoT endpoint designs. Inductance is specified at 1 MHz test frequency, matching the typical switching frequency of mid-power buck regulators — the value holds within tolerance at that operating point.
