3.3 µH shielded inductor for DC-DC power rails
The Murata LQH3NPN3R3MMEL is a 3.3 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH3 series, built for surface-mount power-stage filtering where the DC resistance and saturation headroom decide the fit. Rated 1.15 A continuous with a saturation current of 1.52 A (Isat), the part delivers 33 % margin above the rated current before the inductance rolls off — enough headroom for a 1 A rail that sees transient peaks during load steps.
What the self-resonant frequency means for your switching regulator
A 55 MHz self-resonant frequency (SRF) means the inductor behaves inductively well above the 1–4 MHz switching frequencies typical of buck converters in this current class — the parasitic capacitance across the winding does not start cancelling the inductance until the 55 MHz region, so the effective inductance stays flat across the regulator's operating band. The ferrite core material keeps core losses low in the 1–10 MHz range; above 10 MHz the core loss per cycle rises, but the SRF ceiling is still high enough that a 2 MHz switcher sees negligible AC loss from the core.
