120 µH shielded wirewound — LQH32PB121MN0L
The Murata LQH32PB121MN0L is a drum-core wirewound inductor from the LQH32 series, shielded for reduced EMI coupling in dense PCB layouts. Rated 120 µH at 1 MHz test frequency, it delivers 200 mA continuous current with a 170 mA saturation floor. The 5.26 Ohm maximum DCR sets the I²R conduction loss — at 200 mA the self-heating is roughly 0.21 W, which stays within the 125°C rated operating ceiling when the copper pad area under the 1210 footprint provides adequate thermal relief.
Parametric fit — current, saturation, frequency
The 170 mA saturation current (Isat) is the hard ceiling for inductance stability — above that the ferrite core saturates and the inductance collapses. For a DC-DC converter input ripple current or a filter choke, keep the peak current below Isat to maintain the 120 µH value. Self-resonant frequency is 8 MHz — above this the inductor behaves capacitively. The component is suited for switching regulators and EMI filters operating below 8 MHz; for higher-frequency noise the parasitic parallel capacitance dominates the impedance.
Package and board-fit — 1210 footprint
The nonstandard case designation means the pad layout should be verified against the manufacturer's recommended footprint.
