56 µH wirewound for automotive power and signal filtering
The Murata LQH32NH560J23L is a 56 µH drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, built on a ferrite core and unshielded. Rated for 135 mA continuous current with a maximum DC resistance of 2.4 Ohm, the inductor's self-heating at rated current stays within the ferrite core's thermal budget. The 13 MHz self-resonant frequency (SRF) places the useful inductance roll-off well above switching frequencies in typical DC-DC converters and EMI filter stages.
AEC-Q200 qualification and the 1210 footprint
For a design targeting PPAP or IATF 16949 compliance, using an AEC-Q200 listed inductor avoids a separate qualification step at the module level. The unshielded construction means the inductor's magnetic field extends beyond the package; keep sensitive traces or copper pours at least one part width away to avoid eddy-current losses in the ground plane. Inductance is tested at 1 MHz, and the Q factor is specified as 40 minimum at that same frequency — a useful figure for resonant tank or impedance-matching circuits where the inductor's loss tangent matters.
