AEC-Q200 qualified 47 µH wirewound for automotive power and signal filtering
The Murata LQH32NH470J23L is a drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, rated 47 µH ±5% at 1 MHz test frequency. The 155 mA current rating and 1.752 Ohm max DCR define the DC bias ceiling — above that current the inductance rolls off as the ferrite core saturates, and the I²R loss at full rated current is about 42 mW, well within the 125 °C operating limit. For a Tier-1 ECU program, the PPAP submission requires the AEC-Q200 certificate — this inductor carries that grade.
1210 footprint and unshielded construction — board layout notes
The nonstandard case designation means the pad layout follows the 1210 industry standard — confirm the land pattern against the Murata drawing before committing the PCB. Unshielded construction means the magnetic field radiates from the core; keep sensitive analog traces or low-level signal loops at least one part width away to avoid coupling. Self-resonant frequency is 16 MHz. Above that frequency the inductor behaves capacitively — the Q factor peaks near SRF and drops sharply beyond. For a 1 MHz switching regulator output filter, this part works; for a 10 MHz DC-DC converter the SRF margin is too narrow and a lower-inductance part with higher SRF should be selected.
