Active AEC-Q200 inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC
The Murata LQH32NH390J23L is an active-production drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive-grade applications. Its 39 µH ±5% inductance and 170 mA current rating suit it for DC-DC converter output filters, EMI suppression, and signal-line chokes in engine control units, body electronics, and infotainment systems.
39 µH at 170 mA — DC resistance and self-heating budget
With a maximum DC resistance of 1.524 Ω, the LQH32NH390J23L dissipates roughly 44 mW at its full 170 mA rated current. The unshielded drum core ferrite construction provides stable inductance under DC bias up to the saturation current, though the absence of magnetic shielding means the stray field may couple into adjacent traces — keep sensitive analog or RF routing at least one package width away. A self-resonant frequency of 20 MHz and a Q factor of 40 at 1 MHz define the usable band: the inductor behaves as a pure inductive element well below 20 MHz, above which parasitic capacitance dominates. For a 1 MHz switching regulator, the 39 µH value and SRF provide adequate margin.
1210 footprint and tape-and-reel supply
Supplied on tape and reel (cut tape option available), it is compatible with reflow soldering profiles typical for automotive PCBs.
