2.7 µH drum core for DC-DC filter and bias-T applications
The Murata LQH32MN2R7K23L is a 2.7 µH ±10% drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, built on a ferrite core with an unshielded construction. Rated at 320 mA DC with a maximum DC resistance of 900 mOhm, it handles moderate bias currents in power supply filter stages and RF bias-T circuits where the inductance must hold above the self-resonant frequency of 43 MHz.
Current handling and AC loss profile
The 320 mA current rating sets the DC bias ceiling — beyond this point the ferrite core begins to saturate and the effective inductance drops below the ±10% tolerance band. Q factor of 20 at 1 MHz gives a reasonable AC loss figure for a general-purpose wirewound in this footprint — adequate for switching regulator output filters and decoupling networks that operate below 10 MHz.
Unshielded trade-off and PCB placement
The unshielded design (no magnetic shield around the winding) means the inductor radiates a fringe field — adjacent traces carrying sensitive analog signals or high-impedance nodes should be kept at least one component width away to avoid parasitic coupling. Supplied on tape & reel (cut tape available), the part feeds directly into high-speed pick-and-place lines without manual handling.
