Product details

22 µH at 150 mA — the DC bias ceiling

The LQH32MN220J23L is a 22 µH unshielded wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH32 series, rated for 150 mA continuous current.

Unshielded ferrite core — where it fits and where it doesn't

The ferrite drum core is unshielded, so the magnetic field extends beyond the component body. In a dense layout, adjacent traces or other inductors within a few millimetres will couple into this field — keep a keep-out zone around the part or shield it with a ground plane on the layer below. The self-resonant frequency is 14 MHz, meaning the inductor behaves as an inductor up to roughly that point; above it the parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance drops. Q factor is 35 at 1 MHz, which is moderate — adequate for LC filter tanks and DC-DC converter output filters in the low-MHz range, but not for narrow-band RF matching where a higher-Q part would reduce insertion loss.

1210 footprint — board-fit note

The nonstandard case designation means the pad layout follows the 1210 footprint common to chip inductors and ceramic capacitors — confirm the land pattern matches the manufacturer's recommended pad geometry for reflow soldering.
