100 µH drum core for power and signal filtering
The Murata LQH32MN101J23L is a drum-core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, delivering 100 µH ±5% in a 1210 (3225 metric) surface-mount package. Rated for 80 mA continuous current with a maximum DC resistance of 7 ohms, this part suits low-current filtering roles where the DCR drop and self-heating stay within the board's thermal budget. The 8 MHz self-resonant frequency and Q of 40 at 796 kHz mean it behaves as an inductor up through the low-MHz range, making it a fit for EMI suppression, DC-DC output ripple filtering, and signal decoupling in that band.
Unshielded construction and layout trade-offs
This is an unshielded inductor — the magnetic field from the drum core couples into adjacent traces and components. Keep sensitive analog or high-impedance nodes at least one package width away, and avoid routing under the body on inner layers. The ferrite core material delivers stable inductance over temperature, but the unshielded nature means the inductance shifts slightly with nearby metal or ferrite objects, so board-level EMI chamber testing is recommended before production release.
