15 µH wirewound in a 1210 footprint
The Murata LQH32DN150K53L is a drum-core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, delivering 15 µH ±10% in a standard 1210 (3225 Metric) surface-mount package. Rated for 300 mA DC with a saturation current matching the same figure, the part maintains its inductance up to that bias before the ferrite core begins to saturate. Maximum DC resistance is 754 mOhm — at full rated current, copper loss reaches about 68 mW, which the 1210 body dissipates without exceeding the 105°C upper operating limit.
Frequency response and self-resonance
Self-resonant frequency is 26 MHz — above this point the inductor's parasitic capacitance dominates and the component behaves capacitively, so the useful filtering band stops well below 26 MHz. Inductance is tested at 1 MHz, which is the standard reference frequency for this value range and gives a consistent comparison point across suppliers. Being unshielded, the magnetic field radiates from the drum core — adjacent traces carrying sensitive analog signals should be kept a few millimetres clear to avoid coupling.
