22 µH wirewound in a 1210 footprint
The Murata LQH32CN220K23L is a drum-core wirewound inductor from the LQH32 series, delivering 22 µH ±10% in a standard 1210 (3225 Metric) surface-mount package. Rated for 250 mA continuous with a maximum DC resistance of 923 mOhm, this unshielded part is a fit for low-current filtering and DC-DC output smoothing where board space is tight.
What the key ratings mean for the BOM
The 22 µH value at 1 MHz test frequency and 19 MHz self-resonant frequency mean this inductor behaves as an inductor well into the low-MHz switching range — above 19 MHz the impedance turns capacitive, so keep the switching frequency below that ceiling. 250 mA current rating with 923 mOhm DCR: at full rated current the I²R loss is about 58 mW, which is manageable for a 1210 body but will raise the part temperature by roughly 20-30°C above ambient in still air — derate if the board runs hot.
Unshielded construction means the magnetic field couples into nearby traces; keep sensitive routing 2-3 mm clear of the body. Supplied on tape & reel in cut-tape quantities — the reel size and quantity are confirmed at RFQ.
