Inductance and current — the BOM-fit numbers
The LQH31CN470K03L is a 47 µH unshielded wirewound inductor rated for 100 mA continuous current. That current rating is the DC bias limit before inductance drops — not a thermal limit, which is governed by the 10.4 Ohm max DCR and the 85 °C operating ceiling.
Self-resonant frequency and usable band
Self-resonant frequency is 10 MHz. Above that point the part behaves capacitively, so it is not a filter element for switching noise above 10 MHz. The 1 MHz test frequency aligns with typical buck converter switching speeds — the inductance value is characterized where it matters most.
Last Buy — what it means for procurement
Murata has marked this part Last Buy. That means the manufacturer's production window is closing — orders are accepted only until the final buy date, after which the part is only available through surplus or broker channels. If this inductor is on your BOM, the LTB quantity needs to cover the remaining production run plus a service-spare buffer.
Package and unshielded layout note
Unshielded construction means the magnetic field couples into adjacent copper — keep sensitive traces or other magnetics at least one package width away. The ferrite core material handles the 47 µH without saturation at the rated 100 mA.
