4.7 µH shielded power inductor for automotive DC-DC
The Murata DFEH7030D-4R7M=P3 is a 4.7 µH shielded power inductor from the DFEH7030D series, built with an iron powder core and rated for surface-mount assembly in a nonstandard 7.00 mm x 6.60 mm package. It carries a continuous current rating of 4.2 A and a saturation current of 5.6 A, with a maximum DC resistance of 41 mOhm — the DCR sets the I²R conduction loss at full load, so the 4.2 A rating already accounts for self-heating within the package's thermal limits. Qualified to AEC-Q200, the part operates across -40°C to +155°C, covering the under-hood temperature band for engine-bay or transmission-control ECU power stages.
AEC-Q200 and 155°C ceiling
AEC-Q200 qualification means the inductor has passed the stress tests defined by the Automotive Electronics Council for passive components: thermal shock, moisture resistance, mechanical shock, vibration, and solderability at the specified temperature grade. The -40°C to +155°C operating range aligns with Grade 1 of the AEC-Q200 temperature classification — the same band used for engine-mounted sensors and under-hood power modules.
