NRND — existing BOMs only
The DFEH7030D-2R2M=P3: This means it remains available for existing production BOMs but should not be selected for a new board spin. For a current BOM line that already carries this inductor, sourcing through independent distribution is the practical path — availability and pricing are confirmed at RFQ against the specific quantity.
7.1 A rated, 9.2 A saturation — the DC-DC margin
Rated current is 7.1 A at 25 °C ambient; saturation current is 9.2 A. The 2.2 µH inductance holds within ±20% tolerance up to the saturation knee. For a buck converter switching at 100 kHz (the test frequency), the inductor sees the DC load current plus the ripple current — the 30 % headroom between rated and saturation covers the ripple without hard saturation. DC resistance is 18 mOhm max. At 7.1 A the I²R conduction loss is 0.91 W — the iron-powder core and shielded construction keep the temperature rise within the -40 to 155 °C operating range.
AEC-Q200 — automotive-grade qualification
Rated AEC-Q200, the passive-component stress-qualification standard for automotive electronics. This covers the full -40 to 155 °C operating temperature range — the under-hood and engine-bay band where a DC-DC converter sees conducted engine heat and ambient soak. The iron-powder core material is shielded, which keeps the magnetic field contained within the 7.00 x 6.60 mm footprint — relevant for EMI-sensitive automotive ECU layouts where the inductor sits near a CAN transceiver or a 48 V bus.
