1500 W bidirectional TVS in DO-201AE
The 1.5KE7.5CA-TP: It clamps a 6.4 V reverse standoff voltage to 11.3 V maximum at a peak pulse current of 134.5 A. Housed in the DO-201AE axial-lead package, it mounts through-hole on a PCB or terminal strip — the lead bend radius should follow the manufacturer's recommendation to avoid cracking the glass passivation. The wide operating junction temperature range from -55°C to 175°C covers automotive under-hood and telecom outdoor cabinet environments.
Automotive-grade transient suppression
The 6.4 V standoff sits below the nominal battery voltage, so the diode remains transparent during normal operation and only conducts when the line exceeds the breakdown threshold of 7.13 V minimum. With a single bidirectional channel, it protects a signal pair or a single line against both positive and negative transients without needing two diodes back-to-back. Power line protection is not provided — this is a signal-line or low-power rail protector, not a mains-side suppressor.
