Clamping voltage and surge rating
The 1.5KE56A-TP: At the peak pulse current Ipp, the clamping voltage is held to 77V maximum, limiting the voltage stress on downstream components during a surge event. The 1500W (1.5kW) peak pulse power rating at 10/1000 µs waveform gives the designer a clear energy-handling budget for transient suppression on the bus. The junction temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C, allowing deployment in high-temperature environments such as engine compartments or industrial enclosures without derating concerns at the upper end.
Package and board integration
Housed in a DO-201AE axial-lead through-hole package, the 1.5KE56A-TP is suited for point-to-point wiring or PCB mounting where a robust mechanical connection is required. The axial form factor also simplifies hand-assembly and rework in prototype or low-volume builds.
