1500 W bidirectional transient suppressor
The 1.5KE15CA-TP: It clamps transients at 21.2 V maximum when the surge current reaches the rated Ipp, protecting downstream silicon from overvoltage events on 12 V rails. The bidirectional construction means a single device guards both polarities — useful on AC-coupled or floating lines where the transient polarity is unknown.
Housed in a DO-201AE axial-lead package, the 1.5KE15CA-TP mounts through-hole on the PCB. The 1500 W pulse rating assumes the leads are soldered into a board with adequate copper area to sink the thermal pulse — a tight layout with narrow traces will raise the junction temperature above the 175 °C absolute maximum during a surge event. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) for pick-and-place or hand-insertion.
