470 µF at 10 V — bulk decoupling for power rails
The TPSE477M010R0100: The E case code (2917 / 7343 metric footprint) is the standard large-body tantalum size for this capacitance-voltage combination.
ESR and temperature — the real selection axes
For a 100 kHz buck converter output, the I²R loss at 1 A ripple is 0.1 W — well within the 125°C rated limit, but the ESR doubles at -55°C, so a cold-start design must budget higher ripple voltage at low temperature. The molded construction (Type Molded) resists moisture ingress better than conformally-coated tantalums, which matters for boards that see condensation or washdown residue. ±20% tolerance is standard for tantalum electrolytics — the capacitance at 10 V bias will measure between 376 µF and 564 µF at 25°C.
