Bulk decoupling for low-voltage rails
The TPSE477M006R0100 is a 470 µF, 6.3 V molded tantalum capacitor from the TPS series — a general-purpose, low-ESR family suited for output filtering on 3.3 V and 1.8 V DC-DC converters where the 6.3 V rating provides at least 20 % derating margin per tantalum application guidelines. Its 100 mOhm ESR keeps ripple-induced self-heating manageable at the ripple currents typical of a 3 A buck converter output stage, while the 2917 (7343 Metric) case fits the standard high-capacitance tantalum footprint on a 4-layer PCB.
Temperature range and board-fit
Rated for -55 °C to 125 °C operating range, this part handles ambient temperatures near hot power stages or inside sealed enclosures without derating the voltage below 6.3 V — the full rated voltage is allowed across the entire temperature band.
