ESR and voltage headroom for the rail
The TPSE106K050R0300: 10 µF at 50 V gives a 5× voltage margin over a 10 V rail — the capacitance stays stable well above the operating point, and the derating rule (50% of rated voltage for tantalum) still leaves 25 V of safe bias. 300 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz is the number that governs ripple current handling and transient response.
The low profile suits dense PCB layouts where height clearance is tight.
