22 µF, 35 V, 400 mOhm — bulk decoupling for a 35 V rail
The TPSD226K035R0400: This is a 22 µF molded tantalum capacitor rated at 35 V with a 400 mOhm ESR, in the D case size (2917 / 7343 metric). The 35 V rating gives headroom on a 24 V or 28 V bus — 50 % derating is standard practice for tantalum, so this part is comfortable on a 24 V rail with margin. The 400 mOhm ESR limits ripple current to roughly 0.9 A at 100 kHz before self-heating becomes a concern.
This part is not at risk of abrupt discontinuation — you can commit the BOM line without an LTB trigger.
This is the military temperature band — expect deployment in avionics power supplies, satellite payload decoupling, or downhole instrumentation where the capacitor must hold its tolerance through thermal cycling from cold soak to hot wellbore.
