The TPSD157K010R0050: Rated 150 µF at 10 V with ±10% tolerance, this TPS-series molded tantalum delivers the bulk capacitance needed to stabilize a 3.3 V or 5 V rail where voltage ripple must stay low. The 50 mOhm ESR keeps self-heating under control during ripple current – a 1 A ripple dissipates 50 mW, which the D-case 2917 footprint can sink without derating at 85°C.
Wide-temperature stability for harsh environments
In an avionics power supply or an outdoor telecom module, the capacitance shift over temperature stays within the molded tantalum characteristic – no electrolyte freezing or vapor lock at the extremes.
