80 mOhm ESR – the spec that decides the rail
In a 10 V rail decoupling a 1 A load step, the ESR contributes an 80 mV ripple component — well within the typical 1 % regulation budget, but worth checking if the rail feeds a sensitive analog front-end where ripple rejection is tight.
The molded case construction keeps the dielectric stable across the full range without the moisture sensitivity of some chip-style tantalums.
2917 footprint – board layout note
Housed in the 2917 (7343 Metric) case, size code D, measuring 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm with a seated height of 3.10 mm. The wide pad layout is standard for this form factor; the anode (+) pad is typically larger than the cathode (–) pad, so verify the PCB footprint orientation before placement.
