10 µF, 35 V — bulk decoupling for a 24 V bus
The TPSD106M035H0125: Rated 10 µF at 35 V with ±20% tolerance — this is the bulk decoupling cap for a 24 V rail, leaving 11 V of headroom before the voltage rating is reached. The 35 V rating also covers a 28 V aircraft bus with margin. 125 mOhm ESR at 25°C — the self-heating under ripple current is proportional to ESR. For a 1 A ripple, the internal dissipation is 125 mW; in the 2917 case that raises the internal temperature by roughly 10–15°C above ambient, which matters at the 125°C upper limit.
No last-time-buy window or successor part to track. In an avionics power supply that sees -40°C cold soak and +105°C internal ambient, the cap stays within its rated band.
2917 molded case — footprint and storage
Molded case, size code D, 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm footprint, 3.10 mm seated height. The 2917 (7343 Metric) land pattern is standard across the TPS series — a single PCB footprint covers multiple capacitance/voltage variants in the same case. Store the reels dry; molded tantalums are not moisture-sensitive like some MLCCs, but the reel label carries the MSL level.
