3.3 µF, 35 V — what it fits
The TPSC335K035R0700: Molded tantalum, 3.3 µF at 35 V with ±10 % tolerance — the bulk decoupling cap for a 12 V or 24 V rail where the DC bias derating on a ceramic cap would eat half the capacitance. The 35 V rating leaves headroom against a 24 V rail transient without the 50 V penalty of a larger case. 700 mOhm ESR at 100 kHz — this sets the ripple-current rating and the output ripple contribution in a switching regulator. For a 500 mA buck converter, the I²R loss at 100 kHz ripple is under 50 mW, but the ripple voltage across the ESR is the dominant term in the output noise budget.
Active, no LTB — sourcing posture
Sourced through independent distribution per RFQ; confirmed on reel or cut tape per the BOM quantity.
Case size 2312 — board fit
2312 (6032 Metric) case, 6.00 x 3.20 mm footprint, 2.80 mm seated height. Manufacturer size code C — the same footprint as the TPS C-case across the 35 V family. The molded body has a polarity band; the anode mark is on the top face.
-55 to 125 °C — deployment ceiling
The ESR and leakage current shift with temperature; the datasheet derating curve applies above 85 °C.
