150 µF, 6.3 V, 50 mOhm — the bulk cap that handles ripple
The TPSC157K006R0050: This is a molded tantalum capacitor from the TPS series, 150 µF ±10% at 6.3 V with a 50 mOhm ESR. The low ESR is the headline number here — it tells you this cap can sink ripple current from a switching regulator output without overheating. The C case (6.00 mm × 3.20 mm, seated height 2.80 mm) is a common footprint for 150 µF tantalums — fits the 2312 metric pad layout.
Temperature range and derating
Tantalum caps need derating: keep the applied voltage at 50 % of rated for high-reliability designs, or 80 % for general-purpose. At 6.3 V rated, a 3.3 V rail gives you 52 % margin — right at the sweet spot. Do not run it at 5.5 V continuous unless you have a solid derating policy.
This is a current-production part, so it is safe for new designs and repeat BOMs.
