10 µF, 20 V, 700 mOhm — bulk decoupling for 12 V rails
The TPSC106K020H0700 delivers 10 µF capacitance at 20 V with a 700 mOhm ESR, making it a fit for bulk decoupling on 12 V supply rails where the 20 V rating provides headroom against transients. The 700 mOhm ESR sets the ripple-current limit — at a given frequency, the I²R heating in the capacitor determines whether the part stays within its thermal envelope. For a 100 kHz buck output, the ripple current should be derated from the datasheet maximum based on ambient temperature.
At the high end, the 125°C rating means the part can sit next to a hot MOSFET or regulator without forced airflow — the case temperature, not the ambient, is the binding constraint.
Active production — no obsolescence watch
Sourced through independent distribution, availability is confirmed at RFQ against the target quantity. Lead time varies by lot size and current factory backlog — a quote request returns current schedule.
Molded case, size C, surface-mount footprint
The molded case (Type: Molded) in the TPS series uses a standard 2312 (6032 Metric) footprint — 6.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 2.80 mm max. The C size code matches the industry-standard case dimension for 10 µF / 20 V tantalum chips. Surface-mount on Tape & Reel, the part is compatible with reflow soldering. The molded construction provides mechanical protection during pick-and-place and board flex.
