The TPSB685K025R0700: At 6.8 µF and 25 V, it fits decoupling and filtering on 12 V or 5 V rails where you need the surge margin of a solid tantalum — the 2× derating from 25 V to a 12 V rail is standard practice to avoid field failures from inrush current.
700 mOhm ESR is the middle of the road for a 6.8 µF molded tantalum at 25 V — it limits the ripple current to roughly 370 mA RMS before self-heating becomes an issue (derived from the ESR and the 125°C max temp). If you are replacing a higher-ESR cap in an existing design, check the ripple current — a polymer cap with 40 mOhm ESR would carry 4× the ripple, but the TPSB685K025R0700's ESR is fine for typical output filtering on a 12 V-to-3.3 V buck converter.
