ESR and ripple-current fit
The TPSB107M006R0400: 400 mOhm ESR at 100 µF and 6.3 V is the loss term that drives self-heating under ripple current. The 6.3 V rating gives a 1.3 V headroom on a 5 V rail, which is the standard 20 % derating margin for tantalum capacitors in low-impedance circuits.
Case B (1411 / 3528 metric) measures 3.50 mm x 2.80 mm with a seated height of 2.10 mm — a common footprint for low-profile bulk decoupling on 4-layer boards.
