ESR and ripple budget for the rail
The TPSB106M025R1800: 1.8 Ohm ESR at 25 V and 10 µF — the ripple voltage across this cap is I_ripple × 1.8 Ω, so a 100 mA ripple current produces 180 mV of AC ripple. That is the number to plug into your rail budget before you pick the next cap down the line. The ±20% tolerance on the 10 µF means the actual capacitance at DC bias can be as low as 8 µF — the ESR does not scale linearly with capacitance, so the ripple voltage at the low end of the tolerance band is higher than the nominal calculation.
The molded case keeps the dielectric sealed across that span.
This is a production part that can be sourced for new designs and ongoing BOMs without a migration plan.
