The 2917 (7343 Metric) case — 7.30 mm x 4.30 mm footprint, 4.30 mm seated height — fits standard power-decoupling and bulk-storage layouts where board height is constrained. 900 mOhm ESR sets the ripple-current ceiling and self-heating floor. The capacitor's temperature rise stays within the 125°C limit if the RMS ripple current is kept under the datasheet curve.
This covers avionics power rails, downhole instrument supplies, and satellite bus filtering without a grade exception. The molded case and surface-mount construction handle the thermal cycling of a -55°C cold start to 125°C soak.
