The ±20 % tolerance is the standard tantalum grade — the effective decoupling at the rail voltage is lower than the nominal 10 µF.
B case — board layout and second-source fit
The B-size case (1411 / 3528 Metric) measures 3.50 mm x 2.80 mm with a 2.10 mm seated height — a standard footprint shared across the TAJ series and many competitive tantalum lines.
Temperature range — industrial and outdoor deployment
At 125°C the rated voltage derates to 10 V per typical tantalum guidelines; the 16 V rating at 25°C provides margin for the elevated-temperature derating. This makes the part usable in outdoor telecom, engine-bay electronics, and downhole instrumentation without a separate high-temp qualification.
