What is the capacitance and voltage rating?
The TAJA335K016H is a 3.3 µF tantalum capacitor rated at 16 V, with a ±10% tolerance. That 16 V rating gives you about 10 V of headroom on a 5 V rail — enough margin to handle a 10 % overvoltage transient without pushing the part into derating territory.
What footprint does it use?
It comes in a 1206 (3216 Metric) case, size code A. The body measures 3.20 mm x 1.60 mm, seated height max 1.80 mm. That's the standard 1206 land pattern — no special pad geometry needed.
The 5 Ohm ESR at room temperature will climb as the part heats up — at 125°C the ESR roughly doubles, so the ripple current capability drops. For a 3.3 µF cap on a 16 V rail, the self-heating is negligible unless you're pushing high-frequency ripple through it.
