The TAJA334K035H: At 0.33 µF and 35 V, this part fits bulk decoupling on a 24 V rail or a 12 V bus with margin. The 15 Ohm ESR is the limiting factor for ripple current handling — at 100 kHz, the self-heating limits the AC current to roughly 70 mA RMS before the temperature rise exceeds 10°C. For a switching regulator output filter, a lower-ESR polymer or MLCC would handle more ripple, but for general-purpose bypassing on a slow bus, the ESR is acceptable.
1206 case — field-swappable with a standard iron
The 1206 (3216 Metric) package measures 3.20 mm x 1.60 mm with a seated height of 1.80 mm. The pads are large enough to solder with a standard chisel tip and tweezers — no hot-air station needed for a field repair. The molded body is polarity-marked with a stripe on the positive end, visible under a magnifier.
The molded case and tantalum construction hold capacitance across the range, though ESR rises at low temperature — expect roughly 2× the 25°C value at -55°C.
