10 µF, 10 V, 1206 — TAJ series molded tantalum
The TAJA106J010RNJ: This is a 10 µF ±5% tantalum capacitor rated at 10 V DC in the standard 1206 (3216 Metric) molded case, part of the KYOCERA AVX TAJ series. The 3 Ohm ESR at 100 kHz sets the ripple current ceiling — in a 10 V rail decoupling application, the self-heating from ripple current stays within the 2000-hour lifetime at 125 °C.
The 2000-hour endurance at 125 °C is the wear-out floor; derating the voltage below 10 V extends it.
Package and footprint — 1206 (3216 Metric)
Molded 1206 case, 3.20 mm x 1.60 mm footprint, 1.80 mm seated height. Standard reflow profile for tantalum — no special bake unless the reel has been exposed beyond the MSL floor life. The size code A matches the common 1206 land pattern; no layout change from other TAJ A-case parts.
