Capacitance and voltage rating — the fit check
The TAJA104K050RNJ is a 0.1 µF tantalum capacitor rated at 50 V DC, with ±10% tolerance. This is a standard decoupling or timing value for 12 V, 24 V, or 48 V rails where the 50 V rating provides derating margin against ripple and transients.
The 22 Ohm ESR is relatively high for a tantalum capacitor — it limits ripple current handling and increases self-heating. In a decoupling role at 50 V, the power dissipation at rated ripple is modest, but for filtering or bulk storage in a switching converter, a low-ESR polymer tantalum would be a better fit.
