Capacitance, voltage, and package fit
The TAJA104K035YNJ: 0.1 µF capacitance at 35 V rated voltage, ±10% tolerance — this is the decoupling or timing value a BOM calls out for a 35 V rail, not a bulk storage cap. The 1206 (3216 Metric) footprint is a standard size; the 0.126" x 0.063" land pattern matches the common 1206 solder pad layout.
The molded case handles the thermal cycling without cracking the dielectric.
ESR and its circuit impact
24 Ohm ESR at 100 kHz typical — for a 0.1 µF capacitor, this ESR is moderate. In a switching regulator output, the ESR contributes to output ripple voltage; a lower-ESR part would be needed if the ripple spec is tight.
