Rail voltage fit and what the clamping specs mean
With a 9 V standoff, this part sits naturally above a 5 V rail and well below a 12 V rail — the 10 V breakdown keeps it off during normal operation, and the 15.4 V clamping ceiling limits what reaches the protected downstream circuitry during a surge. The unidirectional polarity means it clamps only one polarity — for AC rails or bidirectional fast transients a bidirectional (B) variant would be needed; this is a single-polarity clamp only.
Junction temperature and mounting
Rated junction temperature spans -50 °C to 150 °C, covering the industrial ambient envelope for enclosed panels and equipment rooms.
