Clamping performance and let-through voltage
A downstream IC with a 5 V or 12 V rail sits comfortably below that ceiling under normal transients. The 58 V standoff gives roughly 1.5× headroom above a 24 V nominal rail, which is the typical derating margin applied in industrial 24 V systems to avoid false triggering from supply noise and ringing on switched inductive loads.
Junction temperature and mounting
The junction operating range is -50°C to 150°C, driven by the internal junction temperature rating (TJ). For a TVS protecting a 24 V industrial rail, the steady-state dissipation at standoff is negligible — the junction temperature climbs only during the surge event itself, and the 150°C ceiling gives margin against repetitive transients that don't fully discharge before the next event.
