Clamping thresholds and pulse capability
The SMCJ60A-13: The 60 V reverse standoff voltage (working voltage) means the diode draws negligible leakage below that rail level; breakdown initiates at 66.7 V minimum, so a 60 V DC bus stays below the trigger threshold during normal operation. Single unidirectional channel — polarity matters: the cathode band marks the protected rail side, and the anode connects to ground. This suits DC power buses, not AC lines or bidirectional signal pairs.
Temperature envelope and package
DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package with a 0.20-inch body width — standard footprint, reflow-solder compatible.
