The SMCJ36CA-13-F: With a single bidirectional channel, this device clamps equally on positive and negative transients — no polarity concern when protecting AC-coupled or floating signal lines. Power line protection is not supported (the device is not designed for continuous AC mains clamping), but for DC bus and signal line transient suppression it is a standard fit.
