The SMBJ10CA-13: The 10 V standoff means this part protects a 10 V nominal rail — the TVS remains transparent below that voltage and only starts conducting when the line exceeds the minimum breakdown voltage of 11.1 V, clamping the transient before it reaches the downstream silicon. Bidirectional construction (single device, one channel) suits AC signal lines or DC rails where the polarity of the transient is unknown — no need to orient the part on the board.
