400 W bidirectional TVS for 170 V rails
The SMAJ170CA-13: Its 170 V reverse standoff voltage makes it a fit for clamping transients on 170 VDC or 120 VAC rails where the normal operating voltage stays below that threshold. The single bidirectional channel handles both positive and negative transients, so no polarity concern on the board.
