Active TVS for 16V rail protection
The SMAJ16A-13 from Diodes Incorporated is an active-production unidirectional Zener TVS diode in the standard DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package. This gives a safe margin above the 16V standoff — the device stays off during normal rail ripple but clamps hard when a surge hits.
