Clamping voltage and breakdown margin
The SMAJ100CA-13: The reverse standoff voltage is 100 V — the TVS draws negligible leakage below this level. That 51 V window between breakdown and clamp is the voltage the TVS lets through to the protected circuit; a 100 V-rated supply rail with a 120 V absolute-max input can survive this, but a 100 V rail with a 130 V abs-max is marginal.
