Zener TVS for signal-line ESD clamping
The D5V0S1UN2LP1610-7 is a unidirectional Zener-type transient voltage suppressor from Diodes Incorporated, designed to clamp fast ESD and surge events on general-purpose signal lines.
The 390 pF capacitance at 1 MHz is moderate: it loads a high-speed data line (USB 2.0, HDMI, Ethernet) enough to degrade edge rates above ~100 Mbps, so it suits general-purpose I/O, pushbuttons, or lower-speed interfaces rather than multi-gigabit links.
Package and board integration
Supplied in the U-DFN1610-2 (Type B) package — a 0603 (1610 metric) footprint with two solderable pads on the bottom. The 0.65 mm pitch and 0.50 mm body height let it sit under a low-profile shield or alongside a fine-pitch BGA without clearance issues. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profile; the small pad area means the thermal impedance is dominated by the PCB copper, not the package.
