HDMI port ESD clamp — 2.4 pF keeps the eye open
The D5V0P4URL6SO-7 is a 4-channel steering TVS array from Diodes Incorporated, purpose-built for protecting high-speed differential pairs like those on HDMI ports. Its ultra-low 2.4 pF capacitance at 1 MHz means the signal eye diagram stays clean at multi-gigabit data rates — no edge rounding, no jitter penalty from the protection diode. Each of the four unidirectional channels clamps at 6 V typical from a 3.3 V standoff rail, so it sits directly on the HDMI TMDS lines without loading the bus.
Field-swap in the SOT-26 package
Housed in a SOT-23-6 / SOT-26 surface-mount package, this part is small enough to fit under an HDMI connector shroud but still reworkable with hot air on a two-layer board. The -55°C to 150°C junction temperature range covers everything from outdoor IP cameras to under-dash automotive infotainment — no derating worry at the enclosure ambient. Power line protection is built in, so the supply rail to the HDMI transmitter also gets clamped. At 180 W peak pulse power, it absorbs the energy of a typical IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 contact discharge without the part failing short.
Active and available — no lifecycle risk
The base product number D5V0P4 covers the family; the -7 suffix indicates tape-and-reel packaging for automated assembly.
