Multi-line ESD clamp for signal rails
The D5V0M5U6V-7 is a Zener-type TVS diode array from Diodes Incorporated, packing five unidirectional channels into a single SOT-563 package. The 70pF capacitance at 1MHz is low enough for most I2C, SPI, and UART buses up to a few MHz, though it will start to round edges on high-speed interfaces like USB 2.0.
Five-channel density in a small footprint
The SOT-563 package (1.6mm x 1.6mm typical) holds five independent protection cells in roughly the board area of two SOT-23s. For a 5-line interface — say, a five-button keypad or a set of GPIOs routed to a header — this single part replaces five discrete TVS diodes, cutting placement cost and routing congestion. Each channel is unidirectional, meaning it clamps positive transients above the breakdown voltage (6.2V min) while the cathode is tied to the protected trace and the anode to ground. The 150W peak pulse power rating is shared across the package, so a single large transient on one line absorbs the full budget; simultaneous strikes on multiple lines reduce the per-channel margin.
Active production and procurement path
It is available through independent distribution channels, quoted to order against BOM quantities. The base product number D5V0M5 covers the family; the -7 suffix denotes the tape-and-reel packaging variant. For designs requiring automotive-grade ESD protection, a different series with AEC-Q101 certification would be needed.
